Bar Mitzvah students volunteering at a Soup-Kitchen in Jerusalem
As part of the Bar Mitzvah program for the secular boys,
we hold an evening of joint volunteering at a soup-kitchen
that prepares food for the needy in Jerusalem.
We believe that part of entering the age
and accepting the responsibilities of the Bar Mitzvah
we should also be cultivating kindness
and volunteering for others and the community.
This is the way of Abraham Avinu,
the man of benevolence and compassion,
who instilled in us and for generations to come.
