A "bench of Joy" was built in the Yeshiva premises

This week we held a remembrance and commemoration event

for our fellow heroes Moshe Ohayon and his son Eliad HYD (May Hashem avenge their blood)

who fell in battle on Shabbat Simchat Torah in Ofakim.

The Yeshiva students participated in the event together with the Ohayon family.

and with the Yeshiva friend Mr. Joseph Wax from the USA.

The Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Shenvald, spoke about the character of Moshe and Eliad,

and about the heroic battle in which they saved hundreds of people from Ofakim.

Israel and the unity of Israel.

His wife Sarit spoke about their special character and the events on Shabbat Simchat Torah in which they fell.

And on Eliad's initiative to build landscape benches

in memory of one of his students from Kav La'Chaim who died of an illness.

After his fall, the family continues his project,

aiming to build about a hundred such benches throughout the country.

In their memory, the family and Yeshiva students built together

"the Bench of Joy" that overlooks the view.

It includes a link to videos about Moshe and Eliad HYD.

Besha'a Tova, our students from Golani in the Commanders' course

are safely leaving Khan Yunis.

In the center is a Yeshiva student who serves as a paramedic for the unit.

Thank God that he is good because his grace is forever.
