Tikun Leil Shavuot at the Yeshiva

This year we were blessed to have one of the most beautiful Shavuot nights we have had in a long time.

Throughout the night there was lively study in the Beit Midrash,

study chavrutot and special classes with the Yeshiva's Rabbis.

At the same time there was a group

that read the traditional Tikun as is the custom of the Sefardic communities.

At the end, the traditional tisch with the Rosh Yeshiva

and a joyful Vatikin prayer

with the reading of the Ten Commandments

that sealed the special night.

We were blessed with the visit of some of the Yeshiva students serving in the army now.

Some of them are serving in Gaza,

including in the heroic operation to rescue the kidnapped.

Despite the considerable fatigue,

they made an effort to be part of the Shavuot night study as best they could.

And here and there their Yeshiva friends listened thirstily to their stories.

Throughout the holiday,

Yeshiva students from the paramedics track

were on standby to provide first aid.

An MDA car was parked near the Yeshiva

for a quick response to urgent calls

from around the city and the region.
