Dudu Gilboa on Yom Ha'atzmaut

Lt. Col. Dudu Gilboa from Modi'in - a friend of the Yeshiva,

a hero of Israel who serves as the

chairman of the committee for the soldier in the central sector.

His 2 legs were amputated.

Despite his injury, which he hid while walking on prostheses,

he fought to fight in the Yom Kippur War.

At the traditional Independence Day dinner,

he came to tell about the battles in which he participated

mainly in the Suez sector.

Visiting Golani soldiers on Yom Ha'atzmaut

The Rosh Yeshiva met on Independence Day

with Golani soldiers who are in training.

And talked with them about the meaning of the training

to be fighters to defend the State of Israel

against our enemy,

and how it connects to the meaning of Independence Day.

Every year the Yeshiva combines the Memorial Day

with the thanksgiving prayer for Independence Day

with Kehilat Sha'are Yona Menachem 

The Rabbi of the community, Rabbi Sobol, spoke about Independence Day and Memorial Day

And the Rosh Yeshiva spoke about the connection between Memorial Day and Independence Day,

Rabbi Barak Epstein, Ram at the Yeshiva

said the Independence Day eve prayer beautifully

and the students danced together with the members of the community.
